Strength and Conditioning Coach Kevin Van Dyke

Kevin VanDyke, CPT, CSCS, SFG

Kevin is a Florida native, born in Miami, FL. He attended High School at Cooper City High, a suburb of Ft. Lauderdale. Kevin was a two sport athlete, playing football and baseball. He attended University of Florida and earned a B.S. Accounting in 1988 and subsequently returned to University of Florida and earned an MBA in 1995.

Kevin’s career began as a CPA working with two international Big5 firms. He has used his analytic and problem solving skills as his career moved forward through manufacturing, agriculture and insurance. Kevin built and led a team of horticulture and distribution professionals that grew from $5 million in revenue to over $115 million from 1997 to 2006. He has the ability to lead teams, identify advantage in marketplaces and execute the day-to-day operations to accomplish desired outcomes.

In 2014, Kevin pivoted on his career and purchased Anastasia Fitness with his wife Marcy. This purchase may appear disconnected from his career path, in reality it was a very natural step. Since 2004, Kevin has been involved with youth basketball coaching, AAU basketball, High School and Middle School. Coaching basketball has provided an outlet for athletic competition that had been missed since his youth. Building businesses and professional organizations has its competitive side, yet it doesn’t compare to the tactical and development part of growing and influencing young athletes. By owning Anastasia Fitness, Kevin could now put all the pieces together and pursue the ultimate purpose of Coaching, to help athletes and adults reach their potential in life and sport.

Since 2014, Kevin has earned the following professional certifications, American College of Sports Medicine-Certified Personal Trainer, National Strength and Conditioning Association – Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, StrongFirst – Kettlebell SFG Level 1 and Functional Movement Screen – Level 1. He has attended the National Basketball Strength and Conditioning Coaches Conference in 2017 and 2018. Kevin continues to coach basketball at Murray Middle School. Kevin specializes in the strength and conditioning specific to basketball athletes.

Kevin is married to his college sweetheart, Marcy. They have three children, Berkeley(26), Anastasia(24) and Hutch(20). All children, like his wife are Florida Gator graduates or in attendance.
